UV Ink Care
Ensure your ink is stored in a controlled environment preferably within a 10°C-20°C range and out of direct sunlight. Ensure you rotate stocked inks correctly to use within their advised 6 month shelf life. UV ink pigments can settle at the bottom of the bottle/cartridge over time so ensure you regularly shake all stored and installed inks. The heavy particles contained in white ink are particularly sensitive to this and the UVA2 printer contains ink stirring motors within the White, White and Magenta ink tanks. These ink tank stirrers prevent these most sensitive ink colours from ‘settling’.
The general performance of UV ink is temperature sensitive, so please ensure your operating environment for printing is between 20°C-32°C to avoid any ink delivery, colour deviation or ink bonding issues.
UVA2 ink
The Printiple UVA2 printer uses 6 x 500ml continuous feed bottles for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, White & White. Replacement ink is available in 1000ml bottles and the level or shelf life is not monitored by ink chips.
UVA4 ink
The older Printiple UVA4 model printer used 6 x 220ml cartridges and covers Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, White1 & White2. These cartridges have ink chips installed to monitor the cartridge ink level, but the chips do not monitor shelf life ensuring you have full control and keep ink wastage to a minimum.
